ATPO would like to congratulate Sergina Flaherty, COMT, San Antonio, TX, who will serve as Vice President and Jacqueline Pullos, COT, Salt Lake City, UT, who will serve as Treasurer. "The leadership and track record of Sergina and Jacqueline is a testament to their dedication and passion for their profession. 29th Annual Scientific Session and Grand Rounds
Registration is open!  ATPO’s 29th Annual Scientific Session and Grand Rounds will be held Saturday and Sunday, October 18th and 19th.  A total of 13.5 A JCAHPO credits are possible if you attend both days in full.

ATPO is pleased to welcome Dr. Andrew Lam as the 2014 Keynote speaker. Dr. Lam is the author of the new novel, Saving Sight, an eye surgeon’s look behind the mask and the heroes who changed the way we see. These stories are interwoven with stories of Dr. Lam's own patients and his practice as a distinguished retinal surgeon.

On Monday, October 20th, ATPO will host certification exam review sessions for the COA, COT, and COMT written and practical exams.

The Canadian Society of Ophthalmic Medical Personnel (CSOMP) held its annual continuing education program on Friday, June 6, at the World Trade & Convention Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This program is held in conjunction with the Canadian Ophthalmological Society's annual meeting and offered the ability to earn up to 6.5 JCAHPO "A" credits.

Approximately 60 attendees were treated to a variety of lectures in various content categories which were presented by several volunteer faculty. They also had the option to peruse the exhibit hall and attend lectures offered in the COS general meeting.

JCAHPO was an exhibitor at the COS meeting and also conducted nine COMT Performance Exams. We are happy to report that all nine candidates passed!
